A very unusual gargoyle I found on an inner wall of Rufford Hall. The Hall dates back to the 1400's so this must have been added much later. I didn't have a lot of time so wasn't able to find anything out about it.
Anyone have any ideas?

This is the second time today I have seen this same gargoyle! Too funny. A lady that runs a photogroup is in England visiting and she posted a picture of it too. Yours however, is much clearer and sharper. I love it. Is he unlocking an ankle shackle or?? I would be interested to know.
